Who Can Become a Member?
You don’t have to be a West End CLT homeowner or tenant to be a part of our organization and shape our work! We encourage all residents of our target communities to join and play an active part in our advancement.
West End CLT membership exists to facilitate accurate representation of the diverse neighborhoods and individuals that we serve. We seek to empower the voices and leadership of populations who have been systemically and historically disenfranchised; including BIPOC, members of the LGBTQ+ community, and any other minority population.
Moreover, we protect individuals’ right to remain in spaces where they have sown generational or cultural roots despite economic divestment. We understand the disproportionate impact of gentrification and its ramifications on minority communities.
We ensure afforable housing in perpetuity and increase opportunity for homeownership in the nine neighborhoods of West Louisville, KY: California, Chickasaw, Russell, Shawnee, Parkland, Park Hill, Park Duvalle, Portland, and Limerick.
Membership is open to all individuals who are 18 or older and live in a community that the West End CLT currently serves.
